The Calais Crisis has been grim for everyone concerned but that didn’t stop one DJ trying to cheer up motorists and lorry drivers alike, The Mirror Newspaper reports.
‘Discoboy’ Lee Marshall grabbed his trusty decks, speakers and microphone, determined to get the lorry drivers to put their hands up in the air on the M20 last week.
Footage on The Mirror website shows Lee, half naked in a furry hat told the paper, “I wanted to hold an underground disco so I just turned up. Some of the truckers didn’t know what to make of it. They had been there for the whole day”.
And with Lee chanting ‘You say OPERATION, I say STACK’ it’s little wonder it took them a while to warm up to the in-car entertainment.
Lee runs an event company and said he held his 40-minute party after travelling from Canterbury in his van to join the queue.
